Movie Night

Tonight is meeting night, and this week is movie night. Holden Hall #4, 8:00 PM. Come enjoy a movie about a child preacher who later became an atheist, but continued his work to show the stupidity of Christian followers. I hope to see everyone there!

I don’t know if using the word ‘stupidity’ is the best way of coming across as a legitimate student organization.

    Stupidity

    1. The quality or condition of being stupid.
    2. A stupid act, remark, or idea.

A legitimate word. Expresses the construct I intended to convey. Seems appropriate for a “legitimate student organization” so I’ll stick with it, but thank you for your concern.

I didn’t argue the fact it’s a word, however I do question its lack of tact; this makes you seem pretty judgmental, I doubt all Christian followers demonstrate stupidity.

Judgmental, perhaps. I suppose it simply hinges on what one considers to be foolish or irrational. Basing one’s life on the voices one hears in their head or on the conversations one has with their invisible friend qualifies in my opinion. It really doesn’t matter if the delusion is called bob or god. I invite you to join the forum (link on the right), set up expressly to argue such matters.
